سكايب” يستحدث نظاماً جديداً للاشتراكات
تخلى تطبيق “سكايب” لمراسلة والمحادثات عبر الفيديو عن ميزتين مدفوعتين وهما “رصيد سكايب” والأرقام الهاتفية، واستحدث بدلًا منهما نظامًا للاشتراكات الشهرية.
وكانت خدمة “رصيد سكايب” تتيح للمستخدم شراء رصيد من “سكايب” للدفع مقابل الحصول على بعض الميزات الخاصة من “سكايب”.
أما خدمة رقم الهاتف المحلي، فتوفر للمستخدم رقم “سكايب” حيث يمكنه دفع رسوم ثابتة للمكالمات التي تتم لغير حسابات سكايب، مع إمكانية الرد على المكالمات على جهاز الكمبيوتر الشخصي أو الكمبيوتر اللوحي أو الهاتف الذكي.
وقالت شركة مايكروسوفت، مالكة “سكايب” عبر الموقع الإلكتروني للخدمة، إن شراء رصيد سكايب لم يعد متوفرًا، وإن على المستخدمين التحقق من الاشتراكات الشهرية من أجل المشتريات الجديدة.
ما التغييرات؟
أوضح متحدث باسم “مايكروسوفت” أن أرقام سكايب الهاتفية الحالية ستظل تعمل لكن الشركة أوقفت بشكل دائم شراء أرقام جديدة، وكذلك يمكن استخدام رصيد سكايب المتوفر حاليًا لدى المستخدم لحين نفاده، وذلك في بيان لموقع “TechCrunch” المتخصص في أخبار التكنولوجيا.
وأضاف أنه بمجرد انتهاء الرصيد سيكون على المستخدمين شراء أحد الاشتراكات بدلًا منه، وبالنسبة لرقم سكايب، سيكون على المستخدم البحث عن منصات أخرى تتيح رقم هاتف افتراضي يمكن استخدامه في المكالمات عبر الإنترنت (VoIP).
ولطالما كانت المكالمات من حساب سكايب إلى آخر مجانية وهو الوضع حاليًا أيضًا بعد التغييرات. وكانت الشركة تكسب المال عن طريق فرض رسوم على المستخدمين الذين يريدون إجراء مكالمات إلى أرقام هواتف محمولة أو خطوط أرضية.
أما الآن، تدفع الشركة المستخدمين إلى الاشتراك شهريًا في خطط للاتصالات من سكايب للهواتف المحمولة والأرضية، مقابل رسوم شهرية محددة، وهو ما قد يؤثر على ملايين الأشخاص,
وكانت إحدى الخدمات المدفوعة الأخرى تسمح للمستخدمين بشراء رقم هاتف حتى يتمكنوا من إجراء واستقبال المكالمات كما لو كانوا في بلد معين.
وفي حين حظي “سكايب” بخزم كبير في وقت ما سابقًا، إلا أن العالم تحول عنه مع توفير “واتساب” و”زووم”، على سبيل المثال، ميزات المكالمات، ومكالمات الفيديو والرسائل.
كما أن شركة مايكروسوفت نفسها اطلقت في عام 2016 “تيمز”، الذي يتيح للمستخدمين، خاصة فرق العمل، عقد الاجتماعات وإجراء المكالمات ومكالمات الفيديو.
ويبلغ عدد مستخدمي سكايب النشطين حوالي 36 مليونًا، وفق أحدث الأرقام التي أصدرتها شركة مايكروسوفت العام الماضي.
