من أعراض سرطان العين الأخرى تأثر الرؤية بومضات الضوء المفاجئة والبقع الداكنة والخطوط المتعرجة التي تظهر كظلال منجرفة. توجد الأجسام العائمة كعناصر بصرية ثابتة، ولكن يمكن أن يكون وجودها متقطعًا. ينتج وجود الأجسام العائمة عن تكتلات صغيرة من الخلايا أو سائل العين، والتي عادةً ما تُشير إلى تهيج العين أو نمو ورم يضغط على شبكية العين.
3. بقع داكنة
يُشير ظهور بقع داكنة على القزحية أو الجزء الأبيض من العين إلى خطر مُحتمل. تتطور هذه البقع بأبعاد مُتفاوتة وأشكال مُتغيرة مع مرور الوقت. تتميز هذه النتوءات بنسيج بارز قد يكون متكتلًا عند اللمس، بينما يزداد لونها قتامة أو يصبح غير متساوٍ. يختلف النمش الطبيعي عن بقع السرطان، لأنه ينمو بسرعة ويظهر حدودًا غير منتظمة. أية بقعة جديدة أو متوسعة تتطلب مراقبة دقيقة، نظرًا لاحتمالية خطورتها.
4. تغير في شكل أو حجم الحدقة
يجب أن تبدو كلتا الحدقتين دائريتين ومتساويتين في الحجم، وتعملان كمركزين أسودين للعينين. عندما تتحول الحدقة إلى شكل غير منتظم أو بيضاوي، أو تفشل في الاستجابة للضوء بشكل صحيح، فهذا يشير إلى وجود مشكلة. تبقى الحدقة كبيرة أو صغيرة بشكل غير طبيعي لفترة طويلة من الزمن. تؤدي الأورام التي تؤثر على عضلات الحدقة إلى مظهر غير طبيعي للحدقة، وتوسع أو انقباض دائم.

7. احمرار العين المستمر
يمكن أن يكون الألم أحد المراحل الأولية لسرطان العين، ويشير الاحمرار أو التهيج غير المستجيب إلى علامة تحذيرية محتملة. يتطور التهيج إلى إحساس بالحكة أو الحرقة يزداد حدة مع مرور الوقت. تؤدي الأورام إلى التهاب، إلى جانب تورم الأوعية الدموية بالقرب من المنطقة المصابة، مما يؤدي إلى احمرار. يصبح الورم مؤلمًا عندما يتمدد متجاوزًا بنية العين أو عندما يرتفع الضغط الداخلي.

وينصح بالحصول على فحص طبي فور ظهور أي من هذه الأعراض، خاصةً إذا لم تتحسن أو ساءت، حيث يُمكّن الكشف المبكر من الحفاظ على البصر مع نتائج علاجية أفضل.
