بسبب موجة الخطف..استقالة وزير الدفاع النيجيري
أعلنت الرئاسة النيجيرية، الاثنين، استقالة وزير الدفاع محمد بدارو أبو بكر، فيما تشهد البلاد موجة من عمليات الخطف الجماعي دفعت الرئيس بولا تينوبو إلى إعلان “حالة الطوارئ الأمنية”.
وأعلن بايو أونانجا، الناطق باسم تينوبو، في بيان أن أبو بكر (63 عاما) يستقيل بمفعول فوري لأسباب صحية، موضحا أن “استقالته تأتي مع إعلان الرئيس تينوبو حالة الطوارئ الوطنية لأسباب
أمنية، ويعتزم توضيح نطاقها في الوقت المناسب”.
وأصبحت عمليات الخطف من أجل الحصول على فدية من جانب جماعات مسلحة متكررة جدا في نيجيريا، منذ اختطاف 276 تلميذة عام 2014 في بلدة شيبوك (شمال شرق) على أيدي جماعة
بوكو حرام، وفق ما ذكرت وكالة فرانس برس.
لكن هذه الموجة الجديدة من عمليات الخطف، التي اختطف فيها أكثر من 400 نيجيري في الأسبوعين الأخيرين، معظمهم في ولاية النيجر (وسط غرب)، هزت أكبر دولة في أفريقيا من حيث
عدد السكان (230 مليون نسمة)، والتي تنقسم بالتساوي تقريبا بين الشمال ذي الأغلبية المسلمة والجنوب ذي الأغلبية المسيحية.
وفي مواجهة تزايد عمليات الخطف، أمر تينوبو بتجنيد قوات أمنية إضافية.
وتأتي عمليات الخطف الجماعية الأخيرة بعد تهديدات الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب بالتدخل العسكري في نيجيريا بسبب “قتل المسيحيين”، وفق قوله، وهي اتهامات تنفيها نيجيريا.
