مطالب بتغيير اسم مدينة مغربية وفي التفاصيل، أطلق عدد من سكان مدينة سوق أربعاء الغرب، إلى جانب عدد من الإعلاميين والفاعلين المحليين، حملة واسعة تدعو إلى تغيير اسم المدينة، معتبرين أن التسمية الحالية لم تعد تواكب التحولات التي تعرفها المنطقة على المستويات الاقتصادية والثقافية والاجتماعية.
ويُرجع المحتجون هذه الدعوة إلى كون الاسم الحالي “سوق أربعاء الغرب” يعود إلى حقبة تاريخية كانت فيها الأسواق الأسبوعية محورًا للحياة المحلية، إلا أن المدينة اليوم، بحسب رأيهم، تجاوزت هذا الإطار التقليدي، وباتت في أمسّ الحاجة إلى اسم يُعبّر عن تطورها الحضري وهويتها الحديثة، ويساهم في تعزيز صورتها لدى الرأي العام الوطني والدولي.
وقد انطلقت الحملة على مختلف منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، حيث لقيت تفاعلًا ملحوظًا من السكان المحليين وشرائح واسعة من المتابعين، ممن رأوا في هذه المبادرة فرصة لإعادة الاعتبار للمكانة التاريخية والثقافية للمدينة، وللترويج لصورتها الجديدة باعتبارها فضاءً واعدًا للاستثمار والتنمية.
وفي سياق تفاعل المؤسسات مع هذه الحملة، وجهت النائبة البرلمانية عائشة الكرجي سؤالًا كتابيًا إلى وزير الداخلية عبد الوافي لفتيت، استفسرت فيه عن إمكانية فتح نقاش رسمي حول تغيير اسم المدينة، مشيرة إلى تزايد الأصوات المطالبة بذلك، وإلى ضرورة توضيح المساطر القانونية المعتمدة في مثل هذه الحالات، خاصة إذا أبدت السلطات المحلية والمجتمع المدني توافقًا حول الأمر.
وتعتبر هذه المبادرة جزءًا من توجه عام تشهده عدة مدن مغربية تسعى إلى تعزيز إشعاعها الثقافي وتحقيق نهضة تنموية شاملة، إذ بات يُنظر إلى الأسماء الرمزية للمدن كأحد مفاتيح الترويج الترابي وجذب الاستثمار وتحفيز الانتماء لدى السكان.
ورغم أن تغيير أسماء المدن قد يصطدم أحيانًا بإجراءات إدارية معقدة أو اعتبارات تاريخية، إلا أن أنصار الحملة يرون فيه خطوة رمزية بالغة الأهمية يمكن أن تعيد تشكيل هوية المدينة، وتفتح أمامها آفاقًا جديدة للنمو السياحي والاقتصادي، كما ترفع من حس الانتماء والاعتزاز لدى المواطنين.
